  Brendan Armm, DAOM, LAc - Founder/Director

Dr. Armm is a board-certified Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicinal Herbalist both in the state of California and nationally. He is among fewer than fifty practitioners nationally to have completed a first of its kind clinical Doctorate in Orthopedics, Pain Management and Integrative Medicine. In addition to Dr. Armm’s practice with and founding Lotus East-West Medical Center, he teaches Oriental medicine and meditation to the master level students at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine.

While becoming a licensed acupuncturist, he was named “Student of the Year,” an award presented by the American Association of Oriental Medicine given only to the top student in the country. To enhance his clinical education, Dr. Armm completed a year long doctoral fellowship at Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown Los Angeles, a two year internship under Dr. Zhiyou Qiu, LAc, MD (China) at Emperor’s Doctoral Pain Management Clinic in Santa Monica, and an externship at the Venice Family Clinic. He graduated at the top of his class at both Emperor’s College and Wesleyan University receiving both schools’ highest honors.

She received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. Her traditional Chinese medicine specialties include internal medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, fertility and women’s health, and pain management.

She enjoys working with all ages and strives to educate patients and support the body’s intelligence with the tools of Chinese medicine, including herbs and nutrition. Her goal is to help eliminate stressors and blocks so the body is rejuvenated and can regain its natural balance. Reid practices acupressure, tui-na (Chinese medical massage) and medical qi-gong, for those who do not care for treatments with acupuncture. Dr. Len is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and California licensed. She graduated from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo and completed her residency training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was in private practice outside of Pittsburgh before relocating to California in 2007.

Her practice is traditional general internal medicine and her scope of practice includes, but not limited to, diseases of the cardiovascular, endocrine, respiratory, neurologic, gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems. She also counsels wellness and preventive medicine. Practice goal are to not only to increase the longevity of patients lives but also to improve the quality.
