Clinic Appointments:

        Initial Consult (90 minutes):  Includes a full discussion of your health concerns and health history, pertinent physical exams and labs, explanation of naturopathic medicine paradigm, and your initial acu-energetic meridian therapy (acupuncture without needles) session.  This is followed by a 30 minute visit the next week for a review of the doctor’s full assessment and treatment plan.

        Follow-ups (1 hour):  Includes discussion of treatment progress, treatment modifications and additions, and continuing acu-energetic meridian therapy (acupuncture without needles) sessions.

Appointments by phone:

        Phone consults utilizing Taoist medical qi gong energy healing as a basis for treatment are generally 1-hour sessions done 2-3 times a week for a few weeks to several months (depending on the condition being treated) for best results.

House Calls:

Education and Experience:

Dr. Sarah Murphy received her B.A. in a self-designed, special major entitled "Holistic Life" from San Francisco State University.  Simultaneously, she also completed a therapeutic massage training program at the World School of Massage in San Francisco.  This allowed her to begin practical hands-on healing while fulfilling her Pre-Med prerequisites.

Dr. Murphy completed her naturopathic medical training at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.  She has spent over 1500 hours in the teaching clinics at the National College of Natural Medicine and has personally worked with more than 600 patients prior to opening her own practice.

Beyond her N.D., Dr. Murphy has received her Yoga Teacher Training Certification from the Kripalu Center of Yoga in Berkshire, Massachusetts and her Masters in Acupuncture from the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida.  She has practiced various combinations of the healing arts in San Francisco, Portland, Gainesville, and now Santa Monica.
